Your Squad Has a Blind Spot Too 🎮🧠
So You scouted the enemy last week. Good.
But most losses aren't about what the other team did. They're about what your own squad couldn't see — because nobody outside the game can see their own blind spot from inside it.
This issue is about turning the camera around.
🛠️ Tool of the Week: Claude (Squad Review Prompt)
Same tool, different job. Instead of analysing your own play, you're analysing your team's play — as a system, not five separate people.
The prompt:
"Here are my last 5 squad/duo games: [deaths, who called what, who rotated where, final result]. Where did two of us make the same read at the same time? What role is nobody covering? What's the pattern our team can't see from inside it?"
That's it. No fancy tool, no signup, no cost. Just data and one honest question.
🎯 The Edge: Two People, One Read
Here's what breaks squads that nobody talks about:
You don't lose because your team lacks skill. You lose because two players make the same read at the same time — both rotate to the same site, both hold the same angle, both assume the other's got the flank — and the gap that opens up is the one the enemy walks through.
Nobody calls this out because nobody's watching the whole board. Everyone's watching their own screen.
That's the blind spot. Not a skill gap. A coverage gap.
Paste your last 5 games in. Ask Claude where the reads overlapped. You'll find it faster than you think — and it's usually the same overlap, game after game, until someone points it out.
Fix one coverage gap. Not the whole system. One. Next game.
⚡ Quick Hits
Communication debt compounds. A missed call in game 1 becomes a habit by game 10. Review early, not after a losing streak.
Role clarity beats role talent. A team where everyone knows their job outperforms a team of five carries with no lane.
The blind spot is usually mutual. If you're overlapping with a teammate, they're probably overlapping with you too. Fix it together, not solo.
🔧 From the Build
Still deep in the concierge build this week. Hit a wall, rebuilt part of it, still not where I want it — but that's the work nobody sees until the thing ships.
Caribbean businesses deserve infrastructure that matches the hospitality they already bring. That's still the mission. Getting closer.
